What type of Heating Oil do I need?
There are two main products available which may be suitable for you depending on the type of boiler that you have. A small number of home heating boilers run on gas oil (red diesel) but the vast majority use kerosene (also known as home heating oil).
At Oakleys Fuels, we supply gas oil and two varieties of kerosene:
Oakleys Fuels Home Heating Oil: Oakleys Home Heating Oil is a regular 28 second kerosene product which most oil fired home boilers run on. Kerosene provides a cleaner and more efficient burn than gas oil. Please click for a quote.
Oakleys Fuels Kleen Burn Kerosene (KBK): Oakleys KBK is a premium, high quality 28 second heating oil specially formulated to burn at maximum possible efficiency. Please click for a quote.
Oakleys Fuels Gas Oil: Oakleys 35 second Gas Oil is used occasionally in home heating boilers, is less combustible than kerosene but does give slightly more heat per unit. Oakleys Gas Oil is otherwise known as red diesel and is more commonly used in agriculture and industry. Please click for a quote.
